I'll never take you for granted

Me and Daniel took a little trip to London on Thursday as you will probably have noticed if you follow me on Instagram (I got slightly snappy happy to say the least). We headed for London Zoo, since I've wanted to visit for about a year now! Slightly disappointed there were no elephants but they made up for it in the quantity of penguins.

After we had enough of animal gazing we jumped straight back on the tube and headed to Patty & Bun. Somewhere I have wanted to eat for ages! Let me tell you, it was the best burger I have ever had. Daniel was still questioning how they make the buns when we jumped in the car back in Telford at 1 o'clock on Friday morning.

After a spot of shopping we wandered along the river for a little while. I always like to see the Eye and Ben when I visit, partly because they were some of the first sights I saw when I first visited London. I will never take this city for granted. Every time I visit I fall a little more in love.

NYE in London town

I hope you all had the best New Year celebrations and stayed safe. If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter you will have realised I went to London for New Year. Standing on Embankment in the cold sounded way more appealing than any club or party, and instinct was right, it was amazing! 

Me and Daniel got the train down Saturday night and headed to Wembley where we stayed with our friend Sam in his university halls. Sunday was spent sightseeing (Daniel's new to the big smoke) and Monday was spent shopping down Oxford Street. I hate leaving the city, it became almost like my second home in 2012; more visits will definitely be on the agenda in 2013!

It's my last instagram update of the year! Where on earth has it gone? It's been amazing to say the least and I have a funny feeling 2013 is going to be just as good. Especially since I'll be welcoming it in on the side of the Thames with Daniel. I'm spending my last few days of 2012 galavanting around my favourite city, sightseeing and shopping. I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and an equally lovely New Year, and i'll see you on the other side. Enjoy it and stay safe.
