The prettiest playsuit of them all

H&M playsuit [the yellow option]
H&M sandels

Oh god, this playsuit is by far my favourite purchase this summer. It's just so pretty and flattering, especially when I was this brown (it seems like such a distant memory now). Someone said they thought £29.99 was a bit steep for a playsuit. I clearly didn't think so, I've gone out and bought it in the yellow version as well.

Leaf print playsuit

Primark shoes [similar here]
Primark bag
H&M necklace

This playsuit has definitely made it's way onto the 'take to Miami' list. It's another piece that I just don't think is going to have good enough weather to get chance to wear again whilst i'm at home. Oh to be British. It's seriously beautiful though. I'm so glad H&M went crazy on the palm leaf print this year. I picked up a beach towel with a leaf print on it for £3 in the sale the other day - what a bargain!

The cracked dress

H&M dress
H&M bikini top and bottom
Primark hat [similar here]
H&M sunglasses
Primark sunglasses

I'm contemplating how I'm going to style this maxi dress / long top for day to day wear. I just can't bear to save it for a bikini cover up. That's the only problem with buying things for holidays is that it probably only gets worn that once or twice when you're actually on holiday. FYI this has gone into sale in store so if you want it, you gotta be fast!

The Sunday Post: Things to keep in Mind

1. Your skin may never be perfect and that's okay. Everyone has pores, lines or blemishes, they're all part of who we are. You are unique and one of a kind. Real life doesn't come with an airbrushing tool.

2. Don't be so hard on yourself all the time. Buy the shoes, eat the slice of cake, find happiness in the little things. Just because you are having a bad day, doesn't mean you have a bad life. It will pass.

3. Don't compare your life to the lives of people on social media. Nobody wants to post about the bad stuff, but everybody has ups and downs, it's a fact of life. Remember that the next time you're scrolling through Instagram.

4. Be yourself. If you want to spend your Saturday night at home with your cat, watching films in your pants, you go right ahead.

5. Stop worrying so much. You don't have to have your life figured out, not everyone knows what they want to do. Just keep doing what you're doing and you'll get there in the end. Focus on what makes you happy, that is the most important thing in life.

6. Ignore the obsession with the thigh gap, if you have one, you have one. If your thighs happen to touch when your legs are together that is  f i n e. Whatever shape or size, you have a beautiful body and a beautiful mind. The amount of space between your thighs does not define who you are.

7. Call your parents / friends / siblings more, send them a nice text, ask them how they're doing. It takes a few seconds, and these are the people who will always be there. Keep them close.

8. Make time for yourself. Have a bubble bath, make yourself a hot chocolate. Even if you put twenty minutes aside before bed to relax and take a moment for yourself.

9. Put your phone away when you're with your partner / family / friends, turn it off, put it in your bag. We're all guilty of this one, but you'll have better conversations, you'll see entire TV shows. Sometimes the best moments are the ones that don't make it to Instagram because you're too busy enjoying them.

10. Confidence, kindness and manners. These things are so important. Always be kinder than you feel. Oh and always be nice to animals, always.

Pyjama bottom shorts

Primark shoes [similar here]
Primark bag
H&M necklace

If you don't already own a pair of shorts that look like they'd only be acceptable in bed then what are you waiting for? Click the link and snap them up. They're so flattering with a little top tucked in. I picked mine up in H&M last Autumn, but I noticed when I was browsing the website they've re-released them this year.

All these holiday looks are making me miss the sun so bad. I always feel like we wait so long for summer and it never really takes off and happens. Being a visual merchandiser doesn't help, it's already Autumn in our store!

The Sunday Post: Eight hours in London

I knew as soon as I heard about the McQueen exhibition that I was going to have to go. Don't get me wrong, I'm no fashion guru, I don't go and stand in a gallery and analyse every garment, I just appreciate a good outfit, by an exceptional designer.

Now, me being me had obviously intended on booking tickets since the exhibition opened in March. But here we are, August 2nd, the day the exhibition closes and I've done an all nighter to London and back with my sister for a 4.15am viewing because that's all that was available. I swear I will never learn. Needless to say it was worth it though.
