What I bought: January

Basic Neppy Tee in Blue and White - Topshop - £14 each
I love Topshops basics and these look adorable tucked in shorts and skirts. The blue and white aren't on the website now but they have grey and burgundy.
 Brown marl cardigan - Primark - £10
I loved the colour of this cardigan with the blue Topshop tee. It's so versatile as we head into spring and I want something lighter to wear than a thick coat.
 No7 Stay Perfect Top Coat - Boots - £6
I originally wanted the Nails Inc Kensington Cavier Top Coat, but this was half the price so I opted for this. So far so good!
ALVINE KVIST Quilt cover and 4 pillow cases - Ikea - £30
I've wanted this bedding for ages and after I put it on my birthday wishlist, I finally bit the bullet in my last trip to Ikea and bought it. Seriously makes my room look so pretty!
Faux fur black coat - H&M - £15
I also included this in my birthday wishlist, and after Daniel searched high and low for it (bless him). I stumbled across it on my daily check in with the H&M website. All that stalking paid off!

I also remembered that I bought my Macbook this month as soon as I got back from London. It seems like so long ago and made me realise just how much January has dragged. February is looking good for me. I have so much going on, but I love it, I get a real buzz from not having time to sit down.

Week #4

Wrist details // Snowy afternoon warm ups
Snow photo shoot // Charles Worthington - they smell so good!
Memories of my ballet days // Brown BarryM nails
Me and Daniel, April 2010 // What I wore on Thursday
Matching underwear is any girls essential // My new faux fur

I took my camera out on Monday to get some snow photos, as much as people moan about the snow, we only get a decent sprinkling perhaps every two years and it just looks so pretty. I got home and tucked up in bed in my frilly socks with a hot chocolate, which is when I discovered the fur coat from H&M which was delivered really quickly.

I've been doing some reminiscing this week. The ballet photo was from my 'Memory' project in my first year at university and the picture of me and Daniel was taken nearly 3 years ago. He was my college sweetheart but after spending 17 months apart, we found each other again in October and I've never looked back.

I've got some fun things lined up this week, including a gallery visit on Tuesday with university, as well as starting work placement on Friday (fingers crossed!) at NEC Birmingham. I will be working backstage at the Catwalk shows with models and I am literally bursting with excitement to start!

Bedroom Snippets

I adore my bedroom. Simple. I love it. It's my favourite room in the entire house me and Abi share together. I don't have a television in my room, because I think I've just grown out of that idea, especially since moving out of Mum and Dad's. But also, by the time I climb into bed, I want nothing more than to go to sleep anyway.

I've always had the freedom to choose what colour I wanted my bedroom, and I've always been very particular about it all matching. I remember having a bright red bedroom because I had a bright red clock form Ikea. I then had a blue room, with black and white decor. I loved that room and will always miss it. Then when I moved out I was stuck, I was drawn towards really pale pink or a coral, but both didn't seem very 'me'. I ended up settling on grey and at least then I could add pink accessories along with black and white.

The majority of the contents in my room is from Ikea. It is so affordable but at the same time individual and so beautifully made. My other favourite places for home stuff are Next, Primark and H&M. If you have any questions about where anything is from, just let me know!

The weather outside is frightful

jumper: Primark
shirt: H&M (old)
coat: H&M
jeans: Red Herring
boots: H&M

As I said yesterday, I headed out to make the most of the snow before it was gone. I took a short walk around the pond near where I went to Sixth Form. It always looks so pretty round there, no matter what the season. I think the last time I had a little photo session there was when I had my hair cut really short. That was in Autumn and the photos are beautiful, if I may say so myself.

I love this shirt but never know what to wear it with because it's so long. It's only a size 8 so it's meant to be overlarge but it's just a tricky one. I layered it over my cream jumper that is definitely by favourite at the moment.

Week #3

Baby's first birthday // Blogging from bed
Counting out my money // Me and Abi made a cake!
Fresh new nails // Modelling MAC Morange
Morange in the bullet // Pre snow fall outfit
Models Own Beach Party // Snowy back garden
Snowy days spent like this // My first outing
Saturday afternoon treats // Fresh new sheets
My lip saviour

I've had an extremely quiet week considering I've not been at work or university. I ventured to hand in a sketchbook and essay on Monday and got my haircut and nails done on Wednesday. The snow started falling and cabin fever slowly set in, by the time Saturday came I was determined to leave the house. So me and Daniel took a trip to Ikea in his trusty little Polo and paid a visit to the retail park just down the road too.

I thought I was in university tomorrow, but it turns out I only have to go in this week for my modules that are year-long so I'm going to make the most today's fresh layering of snow and take my little camera out. I've been so envious of everyone else's white covered photos but I just couldn't bring myself to brave the cold.
