why have silver when you can have gold

top: H&M
skirt: H&M
shoes: primark
bangles: H&M
watch: red herring
rings: Matalan & H&M
nails: barryM white and H&M
I adore this new top I brought last week, anything with a collar and I’m sold. My pleather pleated skirt is also one of my favourites, so all in all a winning combination! Throw in a few rings, white, glittery nails and a new anchor tattoo and everybody is happy!
I’m on a minimal clothes spend ban at the moment, simply because I can’t afford everything. As things are looking up for me to move into my own place I have to make necessary sacrifices. Such an exciting venture, but still very scary!

new ink!

skirt: topshop
t-shirt: peacocks
blazer: H&M
shoes: primark
ring: river island
I intended on doing an outfit post the day before yesterday but I got back from work and spontaneously decided it would be a good idea to rearrange the furniture in my room. So from about 3 o’clock until about nine at night I was hard at work cleaning. I’m quite pleased with the results, especially as I have a bigger wall space free now so I can take full body shots, and I have a 32” TV. Not bad Lindsey.
This is what I wore yesterday, which I was going to post last night, but all my friends came round and we went to Wetherspoons. I also got a new tattoo yesterday! I first saw an anchor tattooed on the finger of one of the models on the posters at work and liked how small and dainty it was. My Grandad was in the navy and he is the most amazing man I know, so I guess in a way it’s partly for him. It is also 100 years since the whole Titanic disaster which is something that has always touched me, along with most of the population, so you could say it was partly a tribute to that.

granny

dress: primark
cardigan: Marks and Spencer
necklace: H&M
earrings: Matalan

I look so grumpy in these photos- I definitely blame the weather! Last week it was all sunshine and lollypops, and then I woke up this morning to a Facebook news feed full of status’ about snow. I have only ventured outside once to pick my little sister and her friends up from the cinema. Other than that I’ve stayed in doing university work and catching up on Titanic.

My little sister said I look like a granny today. The cardigan is from Marks and Spencer so I can see where she is coming from. I’m finally getting to a stage where I can put my hair in a bun without having a little mullet poking out at the nape of my neck (attractive!).

JOY: free next day delivery

I was going through my emails earlier and came across one from JOY, an online store that sells women’s and men’s clothing, accessories and gifts. The sort of gifts you would find in somewhere like Urban Outfitters. They sent me an email a while ago offering me free next day delivery; it was almost fate as it runs out tomorrow.

I took a browse through the clothes on the website but nothing really caught my eye enough to justify buying it. So I headed for the gifts section. I came across a little lunchbox which seemed like a valid purchase considering I take my lunch to university and work with me (squashed sandwiches aren’t so tasty).
So my little treat will be here tomorrow, to get yours just use the code BFREESHIP at the checkout. Let me know if you treat yourself too!

week #13

Monday’s outfit // possible new tattoo // using large format cameras // retro shades // me and sam // purchases - all H&M // blossom tree // dressed like a boy // my gorgeous nephew
It seems like I haven’t been home properly since Wednesday. I went to university Thursday then went straight to Wales for the night, intending on coming back Friday morning. Instead, Abi and I sat on the sofa watching TV and didn’t get home until 10.30! I've worked all day Saturday and Sunday and went out in Wolverhampton last night, so needless to say my poor feet are feeling it! Hopefully the lovely weather carries on for the next few weeks so I can work on my projects in the garden.

big eyes, but not scary.

This is my newest model, Abi, one of my best friends. We decided to do a shoot today because I was itching to test out one of the digital Hasselblads that the university provides. The shoot was very monochrome (black background, white shirt) so they definitely look better in black and white.
