These were taken this morning by my friend and fellow photographer, Naomi, for my self portrait identity project. I wanted to create work where the body is exposed because there is nothing we identify people with more than their physical form. These digital versions were purely for my blog, the proper ones were shot on a Hasselblad, so excited about getting my film back!

These photos are my final prints for the experimenting with light project I handed in at university on Tuesday. I will admit they aren’t my greatest work but given that I left it to the last minute (I promise in September my time management skills will improve!) they didn’t turn out too bad. There’s only three when normally six tends to be minimum, but I think things look much better in threes. I was trying to capture the stillness and motion that happens in such a short space of time by using a slow shutter speed. I hope you like them!

This is my first outfit post in what seems like ages! I’ve wanted to wear this skirt for ages but wearing it with flat shoes seemed extremely scary, considering I’m not exactly on the tall side. It doesn’t look as bad as I first imagined, but I felt like I was going to a ballet lesson so I toughened it up with leopard print and silver crosses.

I had my first hand in at university today. I only have three more before I’ve finished my first year, which is completely scary, considering I still have so much to do! I’ve had so much fun, met some amazingly talented people and learn more than I could ever imagine I would. Roll on year 2!

I’m also doing a skydive on Saturday which is so exciting! My Nan died of cancer when I was two so my friend Abi and I are raising money for breast cancer. Judging by the stories mum tells about her, we’d have got on like a house on fire, so it really is for her. Wish me luck!

I’ve finally started work on my sketchbooks, in time for my first deadline on Monday. I still spent a lot of time yesterday doing everything other than university work. I met up with friends at lunch for drinks, and went to view a house with my friend, which I fell in love with! Shame somebody moved in today.

 I did spend last night with my sister creating these for a project at university. I have to create images by experimenting with light. I really like how they turned out and I’m going to get them printed out tomorrow for my sketchbook, but I can’t decide whether to hand these in as my final prints or not!

I start back at university tomorrow, and from there it’s all go go go with deadlines every Monday for the next three weeks. I am so behind its unreal, I would rather spend my time doing I don’t know what than doing my work. Wish me luck!
