14 WEEKS WITH BABY PRITCHARD
It's been nearly two years since my last blog post, but I definitely couldn't pass up on documenting this pregnancy like I did with Willow's. It'll be nice to compare how the different weeks compare in each pregnancy. I will do a monthly update on my Youtube channel too because it's nice to just sit and actually have a ramble out loud too. I hope you enjoy sharing this journey with us again.
How far along?14 weeks today!
Total weight gain?I'm not sure what my starting weight was but I'm gonna say it was about 9st 8lb ish. Being in lockdown I was definitely less active whilst still eating more. Our scales need new batteries so I'll have to update on that one next week.
Stretch marks? No new ones, just old ones from Willow that are silvery and faded now, and even then they were only on the lower part of my stomach. I'd kind of accepted a couple of years after having Willow that my belly button would never quite look the same again but I'm not bothered, the only person that sees my belly button or silver stripes is Kyle or Willow, and if I ever wear swimwear I'm happy in a swimming costume or high waist bikini.
Sleep?I do find if I wake in the night then it's pretty much game over. I can lie awake for a couple of hours before I manage to nod back off. Other than that sleep isn't too interrupted at the moment.
Best moment this week?Breaking up from work for two weeks off! Going back to work full time after lockdown and being very early pregnant was hard. It would have been a shock to the system enough after nearly 3 months off but throwing pregnancy in the mix too meant that I'd get home from work and just have nothing left to give. I'd just about manage until Willow's bedtime then I'd be straight in bed myself. These two weeks off are going to be heaven.
Miss anything?Kinda just missing wearing normal clothes. Struggling with trousers at the minute, I'm too big for my normal trousers but too small for maternity so I've just been living in the same few dresses none stop.
Movement? If i'm lay really still, I can feel little bubbles on my left side. I'm not even sure it's baby related because with Willow I didn't feel anything until gone 20 weeks. Maybe I'm just a bit more aware of my body this time, or maybe you can feel things earlier second time around.
Food cravings?Nothing.
Anything make you queasy or sick?Only when I have to feed the cat. I have also found that I can't drink full fat fizzy drinks like I used to. I've always been a full fat kinda girl but a couple of times I've had a bottle of Coca Cola or Pepsi at work and it's given my the shakes and made me all hot. It must just send my blood sugars through the roof. I did have sickness but it didn't last long thank god. I think I'll go into more detail on early pregnancy in a Youtube video.
Gender? My friend, Naomi, has made her prediction going off the forehead theory that baby is a boy. She said if it has a flatter forehead then it's a boy. Again like our pregnancy with Willow we won't be finding out, there truly is no surprise like it.
Labour signs?Absolutely not. We'll keep it that way for a little while please...
Symptoms?Since about 10 weeks I've felt really good! I'm reaching that stage where apart from a tiny round belly I don't really feel pregnant at all. My SPD did flare back up again literally the day I had my dating scan, which I was gutted about. Last time I didn't get it until 31 weeks so I thought surely it can't be right feeling it this early but from what I read 12-14 weeks can be about right when you're body is full of the hormone relaxin. I've thankfully only had a couple of bad days with it so I've just got to go a little slower and remember to stop crossing my legs when I'm sat down.
Belly button in or out?In, and a little bit worse for wear. It's definitely seen better days my poor belly button.
Mood?Happy, and relaxed. Just enjoying a bit of summer holiday down time.
Looking forward to?The glorious weather that's heading our way the next few days. I'm going out tomorrow for a little wonder around Stourport with my sister and the girls, and Friday we're heading to the caravan for the weekend where I did think about going to the farm Saturday but I'm not even sure if it will be open. If not I think an ice cream in Barmouth by the harbour will be on the cards.
