The Sunday Post: Recent beauty purchases

Avon Luck For Her perfume

I'm no beauty guru but I do love a good scroll through some beauty blogs every once in a while. I love seeing the newest releases and I'm most definitely no brand snob. Sure my Origins moisturiser cost over £30, but some of my favourite lipsticks are Avon, which may I just say is extremely underestimated as a brand.

Most of these are picked up on recommendations, especially the Revlon blush and Origins moisturiser - which smells like dark chocolate orange. I went into Boots intending on picking up either the Benefit Erase Paste or Bo-ing concealer, but the lady on the counter said I didn't need either since they are both heavy duty and recommended the Fakeup concealer instead.

I definitely think this stash will keep me going until we get into the colder season.

When to call it quits

H&M coat
H&M hat (similar here)

I'm not sure we're quite in coat season yet but I couldn't put off wearing this beauty any longer. I fell in love with it when it first came out around January but I never saw it in the flesh, only online and in the catalogue, I saw it had gone into the sale and couldn't resist no more.

I've since bought two more coats and my coat stand is almost at falling over, but hear me out... When you're out and about in winter you could be wearing the nicest outfit but it's all hidden by a coat, and nobody wants to see you in the same month for the whole season so it's good to have a selection of coats, is 13 too many?

Holiday Photo Diary

I thought I'd share the 'other' holiday snaps that seem to mostly be of food and cocktails. Oops! I hope you enjoy!

The Sunday Post: Shopping and building my Autumn wardrobe

Sundays have always been my favourite, that was before I got my first weekend job. Now I'm full time and I get my weekends back it's bliss, and even better at the moment now that Made in Chelsea NYC has started!

We were going to go to cinema today but decided against it, instead just headed into town for some retail therapy. A Starbucks has FINALLY opening in our town centre, or just outside should I say, so we headed there for breakfast. A pit stop in Topshop for new jeans was a must, especially since my current denim blue pair are age 14! I went for Jamie jeans for a change, I like that they feel more like denim than the Joni or Leigh jeans.

And and and... Look at that pale blue beauty I finally hunted down in Primark. They've only had big sizes left for the last few weeks and today a size 8 appeared. Obviously it's a return but I can't find any faults with it so I'm pretty chuffed.

Holiday Lookbook // #4

Wal G playsuit
Primark heels
Primark necklace

I think this is the lowest cut I've ever wore and I quite like it. I don't think my cleavage will be making a regular appearance on here but every once in a while won't hurt.

I've had this playsuit a good couple of months from the lovely team at WalG, but I was saving it specially for my holiday. Yellow + tan = perfect! There was just never a right occasion to wear it on British soil and the shorts are slightly see through. Some things seem to be acceptable on holiday that we wouldn't dream of doing in this country.
