Meet Boulle

Everybody meet Boulle! The new addition to our little household. I only met him last Monday when I went to pick which one I wanted (there wasn't much choice, both brothers were pure white). I picked him up on Wednesday and our household has been pretty crazy ever since.

So far I've learnt that he doesn't like the hoover or the hairdryer and he has endless amounts of energy. And I mean endless. I even googled how to make a cat sleepy last night because he was on a mad one for about 3 hours. I've also become very good at putting away shoes and bags since he weed in a Primark bag and a gift bag I got from a Company event. No harm done, just 'putting his scent down' as Mum calls it. I did catch him lying in my new handbag earlier but picked him out before any bladder accidents occurred! He's lovely though, such a cheery temperament and judging by the pictures quite a poser.

Food Diary #2

I'm really enjoying these food diaries. I'm maybe going to post one a week, otherwise it gets a bit tedious. I mean, my eating habits are a bit tedious but at least it means one day a week I can switch it up. When it's so hot I don't really eat much and on the day I documented I was actually out for most of the day anyway. I should really remember to start carrying snacks with me.
Meal 1
My day started with a bowl of cheerios and milk with a dashing of sugar. Washed down with a glass of apple juice.
Meal 2
Mid morning snacking tends to get forgotten about when I'm on the move and lunch was grabbed quickly at Mum's. A cheese wholemeal sandwhich with cheese curls (quite a healthy choice of crisps).
Meal 3
I ended up munching on the left over prawn crackers from Mum and Dad's chinese the night before. I don't even like prawns but I love prawn crackers!
Meal 4
A late dinner for me and Daniel after busy days. I cooked one of Aldi's family pies with chips and peas. I normally opt for mash or sweet potato but our water was off due to a burst pipe so I had no water to boil them.

L'Oreal Confetti Topcoat

I actually forgot I had this top coat until it came to choosing a fresh nail colour this morning. After deciding on the top coat I then had the terrible task of choosing which colour to put under it. I chose them all! I decided to go for the same look every other blogger went for when this top coat came out. How original. But the mini egg look is just so cute!

Confetti is a clear top coat packed with white and black matte glitter in two different sizes. L'Oreal also offer this in three different colours: a gold, a silver and a white glitter, but the black and white reminded me of the Illamasque Speckled nail polishes that came out around Easter time. This one sits over any nail polish though.

I paired mine with BarryM Blue Moon, Avon Lemon Sugar, Avon Pastel Pink, Essie Mint Candy Apple and American Apparel L'Esprit. The perfect pastel combination. It won't last long on my nails though, I think it looks pretty, but all the different colours are far too fussy for my taste.

I like to be in America

Primark top (circa 2009)
H&M skirt
Topshop bowler hat
River Island shoes
H&M sunglasses
Primark rings
I think this outfit is a mash up of some of the oldest things in my wardrobe. One thing I realised when I opened my wardrobe this morning was how few summer clothes I actually have, and I mean proper summer clothes, not spring ones. I guess my style has changed quite a lot since last year and a lot of it has gone on ebay but I don't want to take the same clothes I took on holiday with me last year on my holiday in August so I guess I'll have to be doing something about that!

I got to meet my little white kitty for the first time today. I had to pick between two little white brothers who looked exactly the same (if you don't believe me look at the snap on my instagram: elegantcha0s). After finally choosing one, his current owner said she'd put some red food colouring on his tail so we knew he was mine. Before we knew it he had a red splodge on his head which she tried to rub off and resulted in me now being the proud owner of a white kitty with a pink furry head. So cute! I feel so grown up in my own house with my own little kitty to care for.

Cinema date

River Island shoes
Topshop necklace
Primark rings
I shot all these photos then realised I hadn't changed my white balance so now they've got this horrible warm tone to them. I would sit and filter it out but I'm off out in a bit and don't have time. I'm going with my sister to see all her old school friends at prom (we're basically just using any excuse to be nosey at as many proms as possible). Then later tonight me and Daniel are going to see Now You See Me at the cinema. I've heard some pretty good reviews about this film so I'm pretty excited.

This blazer is much more red IRL, but it just didn't photograph like that (the white balance situation probably didn't help). It's gorgeous though none the less. I kept the rest of my outfit simple, and black which is unusual for me and the blazer was my pop of colour. It's maybe a little smarter than I hoped for just a cinema date night but who cares!
