I'll never take you for granted

Me and Daniel took a little trip to London on Thursday as you will probably have noticed if you follow me on Instagram (I got slightly snappy happy to say the least). We headed for London Zoo, since I've wanted to visit for about a year now! Slightly disappointed there were no elephants but they made up for it in the quantity of penguins.

After we had enough of animal gazing we jumped straight back on the tube and headed to Patty & Bun. Somewhere I have wanted to eat for ages! Let me tell you, it was the best burger I have ever had. Daniel was still questioning how they make the buns when we jumped in the car back in Telford at 1 o'clock on Friday morning.

After a spot of shopping we wandered along the river for a little while. I always like to see the Eye and Ben when I visit, partly because they were some of the first sights I saw when I first visited London. I will never take this city for granted. Every time I visit I fall a little more in love.

Week #24

Pretty shirt | Dinner | New Chelsea boots | Similar Essie shades | A peculiar drinks combination | Raspberry and Orange from Costa | I've missed that metal tube smell | My new BFF at London Zoo | Patty & Bun | H&M displays | L is for London | Strolling through Regents Park | Essie Mint Candy Apple Chill out day |  | Miss you Ben | New kimono | Sherbet shades

I'm typing this in a state of dreariness, battling to stay awake. Thats a sure sign that it's been a good week! I've done a nine hour shift at work today to get sale ready, which quite frankly should be illegal on any Sunday, let alone Fathers Day. But it does mean I get to see all the sale bargains before anyone else. H&M is the only sale I shop in because I get to see all the good bits before it turns into a jumbly mess.

Since Daniel booked some days off this week we decided to head down to London on Thursday for the day. A full post is coming up tomorrow, which I did schedule for last night but blogger didn't agree with me. We had the perfect day in my favourite place and quite frankly, coming home gets harder and harder every time.

My new Chelsea boots from ebay arrived this week, only for them to break the first time I wore them. I'm currently awaiting a verdict from the seller, after telling them I wasn't satisfied with their response of 'take them to a cobbler or superglue them'. I didn't buy them to have to superglue them back together after one wear. I also bought this pretty grey kimono from H&M that I searched for high and low in London. It was the last in my size so it was destined to live in my wardrobe!

Non-alcoholic Pimms

I hope you hear me out on this one and don't just accuse me of creating disgusting concoctions before closing your browser. I would also like to clear up that I am not a recovering alcoholic and am therefore restricted to drinks of the non-alcoholic kind. I like a trip to a cocktail bar as much as the next person, but I just couldn't resist trying this when I heard about it.

I filled the glass half full with ice, added two teaspoons of balsamic vinegar (but apparently any vinegar is fine) and topped it up with lemonade. I guess it's to your own preference what measures you use though, if you want it to be more like cream soda and sweet use less vinegar, if you want it to be more like a glass of Pimms add more vinegar.

This is a new favourite of mine, perfect for barbecues and garden days. The science behind it is that lemonade on it's own doesn't quench your thirst because of all the sugar in it, but this does because of the added sour note. Clever eh!

Week #23

Nephew cuddles | #freeyourfeet outfit | Natural look perfected | Lazy Wednesday outfit | New summer read | Afternoon lunch before work | My pretty little office | Late night Game of Thrones | Sunday Funday being an entrepreneur | Favourite sandals

This week has been very chilled out, mostly because the sun has been out so all I want to do is soak it all up! I started the week off with a visit to my sisters and my Mum caught the picture of me and Kyle. I totally love it, look at his cheeky smile!

I also finally got round to wearing my shoes for Clarks. You can see the post here. It clouded over on Wednesday so I wore a more chilled out outfit which I only snapped for Instagram. And my white sandals in the last photo are my favourites, but they need another hole poking in the strap because they have stretched and fall off.

I've become a bit of a Game of Thrones addict this week. I decided to start reading the books over the summer whilst I'm not reading anything for university. I'm totally addicted and decided to watch the series too, but I need to calm down else I'm going to get too ahead of myself and ruin the books. Oh it's a hard life!

Pewter dragon

Urban Outfitter skirt
H&M top
H&M soft bra
Primark sunglasses
Topshop bracelet
Red Herring watch
Mac Morange lips
When the lovely people over at Clarks asked me if I wanted to style up a pair of their Studio Beats sandals as part of their #freeyourfeet campaign I took a quick glance at them on the website and immediately agreed. Admittedly, Clarks isn't somewhere I would normally pop into on a shopping trip, there are too many memories of trying and buying new school shoes in there at the end of every summer. But the colour and the detail on the T-bar is something I just couldn't resist.

When they arrived I decided the pewter-gold colour made them look very Greek Goddess, and so, I started dreaming up the perfect outfit for when the sun finally decided to shine, which thankfully this week it did. I decided after I took these pictures the outfit reminded me of Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City 2. Running around Abu Dhabi in the sunshine - I wish! I even felt that pretty I wanted to go out for dinner with Daniel, you know your on to a winning outfit when you feel like that.

Something I have come to terms with when buying new shoes is that because my feet are so wide, I have to go through that horrible wearing-them-round-the-house-in-thick-socks-to-break-them-in period. That was not necessary here, I wore them on a hot morning to dash around running errands and doing the weekly food shop and my feet didn't scream at me once. Result!

I'd definitely recommend Clarks after wearing these, their shoes are so well made from real leather and extremely comfortable. They even accommodate for half sized lot of you and also produce standard and wide fit, which I didn't realise until I looked on the website!

Trying to do it right

H&M dress
Primark shoes
Primark bag
Primark necklace
H&M sunglasses
It's been a lazy day spent sunbathing for me. I did pop out first thing this morning to run some errands and go food shopping. I also trekked across Telford looking for the Game of Thrones book, to then come home and order it from online. Typical! I decided I want to read the books before I watch the show and it'll give me something to do between now and September before the only books I read are in preparation for my dissertation.

How perfect are these sunglasses?! My sister liked to remind me that she can't take me seriously in round glasses but personally, the wackier the better! Leigh has a great pair of white round ones from Primark, I'm tempted to pick up a pair for myself. Now since my sunglasses have silver embellishments I naturally have to keep all my other accessories the same colour so out came my silver necklace and even my shoes have silver studs. Good job I prefer silver with burgundy eh!

Times like these

H&M boots
Ebay bag
Marc by Marc J sunglasses
H&M and Primark rings
I actually bought this dress last summer but since it kept popping up on the AX Paris advert on the telly I decided to dig it out again. It's most definitely one of my favourites. The fit is perfect and the crochet waistband just gives it that little something extra. I did what I seem to do a lot lately and styled it with my black boots. Mum was telling me today I should be wearing sandals. Thanks for the sartorial advice Mum!

I've had such a lovely day, mostly spent running around my sisters garden chasing my niece and nephews around. I really didn't intend on being out all day but the weather was gorgeous and since my eldest sister lives over an hour away I really cherish her visits. And I'd never pass up an opportunity to see my other little nephews, they are all just so gorgeous and I could gush about them all day!
