I don’t think my dresses get much
shorter than this one and I opted to wear it to the doctors - talk about
inappropriate. I do sometimes dread what I must look like from behind walking upstairs! The only accessory I wore today was earrings and they didn’t
even match. I swear I walk round in the mornings asleep. I was in the darkroom
all day so it didn’t really matter.
I got my work back for my
Identity Project which I handed in last week, at the moment I’m on a B/C which
suits me just fine, thank you very much. So much work to do in so little time,
so I’m off to research the perfect bowl of fruit for Still Life in the studio
on Monday.

KONY2012
I’m taking a different approach
today simply because this video moved me so much. Throughout the 30 minutes I
sat with tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat thinking “Why is this man never in the news?” I don’t watch the news
religiously, but my parents start and end the day with a news report so luckily
I am one of those people who are aware of what is going on in the world.
It did make me feel slightly embarrassed
to be British. The riots last summer were because children had nothing better
to do, they moan about going to school and complain about the service they get
from our free health service, yet
these children live everyday in fear that they might be abducted or raped. We really
should appreciate what we’ve got.
It also made me realise how
little I do for charity, which I think is why this campaign is so clever - by
using the internet to promote it. Yes your money would help, but they aren't
begging for you to pledge, they just want to show the government that people care by sharing
the video. You can buy t-shirts, bracelets, posters and action packs here which will come in useful on 20th April 2012 when there is a 'cover the night' mission around the world. Cover your town in posters. Make people aware.
So all I ask is that if you haven't already, you watch it and show you care.

Happy Monday to you all! It was
yet another lovely sunny day today, I had my little retro pink sunglasses on. I
did miss the sun though as I was at university. I spent 4 hours in the
darkroom, 4 bloomin’ hours! So I felt
like a vampire when I went outside and was faced with sunlight.
I’m going to go off on a rant now
so here goes... A guy started talking to me at the bus stop and asked what
course I was studying. When I said photography he straight away commented on
how easy it is compared to his course (maths) “it’s just standing round taking
photos” were his words. I wish it was that simple! It annoys me how arrogant people
are towards it, I’m not saying photography is as hard as maths but it’s still a
degree just the same.
I felt a bit like I was dressed
for an interview today, in a push-the-boundaries-of-interview dressing kind of
way. I mean I’ve never rolled up at an interview in trousers like this but the
bow tie and shirt combination is definitely on the cards for any future
interviews.
I love my new little ballet
pumps, they remind me of the days I did ballet and they're
so comfy. If you’re after a pair of these, I’d recommend New Look. Topshop
do a similar style for £16 but these are exactly the same for £7.99!

I got this shirt last week and I’m tempted to buy it in a mint green and a
coral pink colour too. Then I saw the necklace in River Island and wanted to try out this mini trend for myself. I quite like it, I've been a little bit in love with anything with a collar since before christmas, and adding that little touch with a necklace really makes the shirt, if you follow my drift?
It’s been a weird start to the
month, the weather has been gorgeous today and I intended going to university
to hand in work and get the brief for a new project. That was until I blacked
out in the shower. I didn’t want to risk the same thing happening on the way
there so my mum took me to hand my work in and I’ve been emailed the new brief
- I hate missing a day, I feel like there’s so much to catch up on! I can’t
believe I’ve nearly finished my first year already. I’ve learnt so much about
photography in such a short space of time, but I really am looking forward to
the break - and going to LA!

What a beautiful day today has
been. I do really love this time of year, just before the big buzz of summer
when everybody is starting to get excited. It’s my Mum and Dad’s wedding
anniversary as well today, silly buggers got married on 29th
February so although it’s been 20 years, they’ve only celebrated it 5 times,
cuties!
I got told I look like Sarah
Jessica Parker today, I think because of my choice of outfit. I always struggle
to style this skirt because it doesn’t quite know whether to sit on my hips or
waist, today I felt I’d done a good job though.
Also I hope you checked out UNESTABLISH in my sidebar, they're a great online store with some gorgeous clothing.
