Happy belated Valentine’s Day! I wore this outfit Tuesday to university, but I never got chance to post about it then because I drove to Wales to stay at my friends for the night, she works in an outdoor activity centre for children and I had a great time! It’s been a hectic week, what with university, going to Wales, I’ve been out for a meal and tomorrow I’m working all day. I do love it when life is like that.
AND for the first time...I’m going to London Fashion Week!! I am so excited, and I’ve been spending all my time planning the perfect outfit in my head. I’ve also had an email about The Vogue Festival, which I’ve never heard of but I’m definitely considering going. Let me know if you’ve ever been before?

michael jackson lost his blazer!

  blazer: H&M
t-shirt: primark
leggings: H&M
necklace: primark
scarf: peacocks
watch: red herring

I spent most of my Friday procrastinating, when I had planned on writing my essay for university. The idea of doing a 1500 word essay seems such an effort, especially when the 4500 word one I did in Sixth Form put me off completely.
Instead I went into town to return a jumper in Primark, one of those things that you kind of like in the shop so you give it the benefit of the doubt, then get it home and completely regret it! I came home to parcels from H&M and eBay. I then had a sleep and watched The Time Travellers Wife, which is a lovely film.
It’s the first time I’ve wore this blazer even though I’ve had it since December. I didn’t really know what to wear it with, but I just bit the bullet this morning and spent ages trying it on with everything! It’s maybe a little too dressy for day but I only showcased it in Primark, It’s a start!

chelsea boots

blouse: primark
shorts: topshop
faux fur coat: new look
ring: primark
watch: red herring

Not my luckiest day, I got an £8 fine at university for breaking a thermometer - if only I wasn’t such a klutz! The stone fell of my ring (out came the super glue when I got home). Then I had to walk home from the town centre in the rain. With no umbrella. It was that horrible rain that left me soaked with no feeling in my face. Not happy.
At least I wore appropriate shoes for the rain, since I invested in a pair of boots from H&M. I’ve been after a pair of Chelsea boots for a few weeks so when I saw them at work, I had to have them. I like that the heel is only tiny on them, great for everyday and sooo comfy!

blue tuesday

top: H&M
coat: H&M
shorts: H&M
scarf: unknown
rings: primark and H&M

watch: red herring

I woke up to this morning to Facebook complaining it was freezing outside. I’ve come to realise as much as I hate the cold, I’m not one to complain, partly because I don’t help myself with the clothes I wear. My poor mum spends all winter telling me to put more clothes on, and I wonder why I keep getting colds.
I opted for a bit of colour when I looked out of my window this morning. It looked like an explosion in the icing sugar factory. I really like the colours of the shorts and t-shirt together, their bright colours, but in a more toned down, subtle sort of way.
Went to university only for the afternoon and was learning how to make cyanotypes. It was fun, but the amount of work thats mounting up isn’t. I guess I should start on that sometime soon. I told myself I wouldn’t slack again, but I seem to find it more fun if I’m under pressure...

life is short. try to stay awake.

I went to a funeral today for my Mum’s cousin Steven. Cancer took him.
Funeral attire isn’t something I favour as the only other one I’ve been to was my Great Nan’s when I was eleven. I don’t even own a pair of tailored black trousers so it had to be a black skirt, and as short as this one may be, it seemed more appropriate than my other leather numbers...
I find death strange, so many people fear it, but I fear the idea of being insignificant. But then being in the service today, it made me think... Steven was handicapped, yet was still so happy with what he had, why can’t others be like that? The vicar described people with disability as ‘gifts from God’, which is true. Even after all the bad they have to contend with, they still have the ability to look at life and smile, and love people unconditionally.
