Pewter dragon

Urban Outfitter skirt
H&M top
H&M soft bra
Primark sunglasses
Topshop bracelet
Red Herring watch
Mac Morange lips
When the lovely people over at Clarks asked me if I wanted to style up a pair of their Studio Beats sandals as part of their #freeyourfeet campaign I took a quick glance at them on the website and immediately agreed. Admittedly, Clarks isn't somewhere I would normally pop into on a shopping trip, there are too many memories of trying and buying new school shoes in there at the end of every summer. But the colour and the detail on the T-bar is something I just couldn't resist.

When they arrived I decided the pewter-gold colour made them look very Greek Goddess, and so, I started dreaming up the perfect outfit for when the sun finally decided to shine, which thankfully this week it did. I decided after I took these pictures the outfit reminded me of Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City 2. Running around Abu Dhabi in the sunshine - I wish! I even felt that pretty I wanted to go out for dinner with Daniel, you know your on to a winning outfit when you feel like that.

Something I have come to terms with when buying new shoes is that because my feet are so wide, I have to go through that horrible wearing-them-round-the-house-in-thick-socks-to-break-them-in period. That was not necessary here, I wore them on a hot morning to dash around running errands and doing the weekly food shop and my feet didn't scream at me once. Result!

I'd definitely recommend Clarks after wearing these, their shoes are so well made from real leather and extremely comfortable. They even accommodate for half sized lot of you and also produce standard and wide fit, which I didn't realise until I looked on the website!

Trying to do it right

H&M dress
Primark shoes
Primark bag
Primark necklace
H&M sunglasses
It's been a lazy day spent sunbathing for me. I did pop out first thing this morning to run some errands and go food shopping. I also trekked across Telford looking for the Game of Thrones book, to then come home and order it from online. Typical! I decided I want to read the books before I watch the show and it'll give me something to do between now and September before the only books I read are in preparation for my dissertation.

How perfect are these sunglasses?! My sister liked to remind me that she can't take me seriously in round glasses but personally, the wackier the better! Leigh has a great pair of white round ones from Primark, I'm tempted to pick up a pair for myself. Now since my sunglasses have silver embellishments I naturally have to keep all my other accessories the same colour so out came my silver necklace and even my shoes have silver studs. Good job I prefer silver with burgundy eh!

Times like these

H&M boots
Ebay bag
Marc by Marc J sunglasses
H&M and Primark rings
I actually bought this dress last summer but since it kept popping up on the AX Paris advert on the telly I decided to dig it out again. It's most definitely one of my favourites. The fit is perfect and the crochet waistband just gives it that little something extra. I did what I seem to do a lot lately and styled it with my black boots. Mum was telling me today I should be wearing sandals. Thanks for the sartorial advice Mum!

I've had such a lovely day, mostly spent running around my sisters garden chasing my niece and nephews around. I really didn't intend on being out all day but the weather was gorgeous and since my eldest sister lives over an hour away I really cherish her visits. And I'd never pass up an opportunity to see my other little nephews, they are all just so gorgeous and I could gush about them all day!

Week #22

Outfit choices | Flatpacking | Cat face | Sleepy kitty | New office coming along nicely | A shy Daniel | Burgers at The Grazing Cow | Walk to work lollipops | Selfie | 3 for 2 at Superdrug | Kitty cuddles

Firstly I'd like to apologise for the many kitty photos, and my little whiskers I gave myself. I'm slowly slipping into the crazy cat lady category. Wow I said it. Cat. I seem to be immune to that word and refer to every feline as a 'kitty'. Would you believe the two in the pictures aren't the same cat, their markings are so similar! It must be so hard to be a cat, all they do is sleep. I can't wait to get mine, I haven't even met him yet but I want to keep him in kitty playful mode for as long as I can. None of this lazing around sleeping. No way! Not under my roof!

Me and Daniel took a trip to Ikea on the bank holiday Monday which we vowed never to do again. Far too busy! We bought bedside tables and the 9 drawer Alex unit and then I spent Wednesday sorting out my little office. I'm so impressed with how it's turned out. When it was painted, I was a bit disappointed with the colour but I love it now.

Also this week we enjoyed a gorgeous date night at a new pub not far from us. The food was gorgeous and the pub is so lovely inside. Very warm and friendly and my favourite part was the quirky accessories.

If you haven't already, head down to Superdrug for the last two days of their 3 for 2 offer that finishes on Tuesday. I picked up the Revlon Nearly Naked foundation since I haven't read a bad review about it, Mint Candy Apple from Essie and Gosh Velvet Touch lipstick in Mandarina.

What I bought: May

I won a £50 gift voucher for ASOS a while ago but everything I kept in my saved items didn't seem to be in my size. I bought a dress, didn't like it and returned it in exchange for this. £16 for such a pretty skirt is brilliant and the material is so soft and floaty.
A black bikini is pretty much essential in a girls swimwear department. Mine lacked a black bikini so when the Beyonce collab came into H&M I jumped right on that bandwagon. I prefer triangular style bikinis over the bandeau style, much more flattering on me.
I've been lusting after these since Lily over on llymlrs showcased them. I managed to get them for about £75 with free delivery using a UNIDAYS code and they are totally worth it. She was right, they look perfect with jeans and dresses and I just seem to have lived in them since they arrived.
I have a tactic when it comes to 3 for 2 offers whereby I buy products I want in similar prices. This is probably everybody else's theory too but hey ho. I was trying to get hold of the top coat for ages but it has been so popular everywhere was sold out. The concealer is a repurchase since it is my favourite and the blusher is a shade I haven't tried before.
Since ordering from Missguided isn't something I have done for years, I pulled out a tape measure before I ordered to avoid having to return. I was torn between these dungarees and pretty much the same ones on boohoo.com. The latter sold out so here we are, about to start a dungarees love affair together.

Your intentions were gold

H&M jeans
Topshop tee shirt
Primark, New Look & Matalan necklaces
H&M and Primark rings
I love these two colours together. They are very autumn'y colours but hey ho I'm still waiting for a proper summer. One day every other week just isn't good enough! I couldn't really decide whether three necklaces was too much, went with it anyway and loved it. I seriously love the stacked up necklace look, very Sarah Jessica Parker!

I've spent my bank holiday Monday wandering round Ikea buying furniture and then returned home to assemble it. I've realised I'm definitely the DIY part of the relationship. Daniel got far too frustrated for either of our likings when he tried assembling a drawer, so he went pottering off upstairs and I finished the job. Now I have no excuse for unpacking my office tomorrow. I can't wait to have a little workspace again, and I've been eying up an iMac for a couple of weeks. I can see a money saving target being made!

Week #21

This weeks outfit choices | Silly cat in the Guinnea Pig cage | Blog outfit edit
New dungarees | Sex on the Beaach cocktail | Saturday morning breakfast
Saturday evening dinner | Cheeky nephew, Kyle | Erm, my names Lindsey?
Cheeky traffic light snap | Best day with Daniel | I want a garden like this

I know it's really gushy but my day has been so perfect! After stopping off for a quick breakfast in Starbucks, me and Daniel headed to Leicester for a barbecue with his family. They have such a beautiful big garden and the sun played out all day. I want a huge garden like that one day, tucked away somewhere in London.

Not a lot else has happened this week, maybe thats why I've been showing off so much food. I'm slowly getting back into the swing of blogging and I'm absolutely loving it. It's taking some getting used to but I've got so many ideas lined up I'm sure I'll get far too excited and share them all at once!

I hope you all enjoy your bank holiday weekend and stay safe. I'm tucked up on the sofa watching Django, and tomorrow I'll be paying Ikea for a visit to get office storage.
