I'm less than happy with how these photos turned out. I struggle with getting my face to focus with my 50mm lens. Any suggestions would be brilliant!

It was somewhat of a mild day today, compared to the rest of the week so I settled for just my blazer whilst taking a little trip to the shops with Mum. Considering 48 hours ago there was a blizzard I think I'm pretty brave. The weather just makes me want to hibernate in the house, but then at the same time I can't bear to go back to photographing my outfits inside. Maybe I need a new feature, on cold in-the-house days I might start doing food posts.

I've mixed a lot of old with new here. The Topshop skirt is about 4 years old, the blazer I picked up last year for London Fashion Weekend and the top I bought a few weeks ago from H&M. The colour and fit of the blazer is my all time favourite, enough to make me buy it in two other colours. I really want spring to come now so I can pack away my winter coats and just wear light little jackets.

Being professional online

This post has been long overdue since I faced a lot of unprofessional behaviour online from another internet user towards the end of 2012. Considering the career path they have chosen, their attitude was appalling.
The tweets were pathetic. And when I say pathetic I mean it. I'd Instagram a picture of my foundation or my new makeup brushes and they'd tweet how they didn't need to wear foundation, and they didn't see why girls painted their faces on. They'd try and put me down because of the degree I do, but I laughed it off with all my friends. At the end of the day, it's like my friend Sam said: 'You know you're famous when you have a stalker.'
My Mum kept on at me to protect my tweets and make my Instagram private, but because of my blog and the fact I'm trying to get myself out there on the internet and share my life, it seemed backwards. At the end of the day, I've got nothing to hide, and if said person can not handle what I do in my life that's their problem. 
Really, all us bloggers are is show offs, 'look at my new beauty products' 'look at what I bought', but some people just can't help but be green with envy. Negative comments is something I think every blogger faces, it's definitely made my skin thicker than it already was.
I just wanted to share my online morals that I've tried to stick to throughout the whole thing. I think they apply to being online generally, not just in my situation.

Don't pick fights and don't tweet whilst you're drunk - it's not attractive or professional. Although Twitter is meant to be spur-of-the-moment, you should still work out what you want to say and how you want to look.

Every image you upload says something about you. So avoid photos being uploaded to the internet that of you drunk, it could cost you a job.

There's nothing worse than you not being authentic online. Life isn't 24/7 glam and it's okay to show that, and by sharing your quirks and details you connect better with others.

I was told by a friend 'If someone is trying to bring you down, it only means you are above them'. Tell yourself that whenever somebody feels the need to have a go at you.

Especially all you bloggers. Don't tweet one day and not for another week. People are nosey, that's why we share our lives online with each other.

Such a small post today, probably because most of my Instagram snaps were already included in my Work Experience with Rah Productions post. This is the reason I have also been so MIA on my blog. I may have been missing, but I was definitely in action. I've had a great week though!

Doing my placement definitely confirmed for me that I was to go down the fashion route. I've been feeling very disheartened by my course lately, and fear I'm loosing my passion for photography. After they lost my essay that was handed in the middle of January it really was just another knock back. For now I'm hanging in there. I know something amazing will come along.

I managed to squeeze in a house viewing for me and Daniel on Tuesday. Yes, we're moving in together! I'm so excited! I never thought I'd be moving in with my college sweetheart and I just want to move already! We've been trying to decide colours for certain rooms, but you fall in love with one colour in the colour book, turn the page and fall in love with the next.

Work Experience with Rah Productions

It's been one of those weeks where I feel like I have a million things to juggle and not enough time in the day. I've been backwards and forwards to Birmingham everyday along with juggling parties, birthday meals, university work, house viewings and my little blog.

The work experience came about just at the right time. I'd already emailed a few companies in London about internships then a friend mentioned working at the Spring Fair as a dresser for Rah Productions. Naturally I jumped at the chance and just over a week later I was on the train to Birmingham.

I spent Saturday being introduced to my model, Kat, and her wardrobe. I was working on the Party Show so costumes included, Edward Scissorhands and Bat Woman. I get the impression it was a lot more relaxed and fun than over at the Jewellery Show, but I can only imagine how beautiful their outfits were. 

The rest of the week was then spent doing three shows a day. It's weird how quickly you get into a routine of taking clothes off your model and putting others back on. The poor models could have about four people trying to attach wigs, gloves or tights to them all at the same time!

I've met some really lovely people this past week, that I really hope I get a chance to work with again. The people at Rah are brilliant at what they do and considering I was so nervous, I quickly settled in and we turned into a real team. If you ever get the chance to be a dresser, I'd take it, not only for experience but because it's such good fun!

This is my favourite jumper at the moment, but I don't like wearing it because I don't want to wear it out. Abi bought it me for Christmas after I requested a cream jumper, and I've been having a jumper affair ever since. I paired it with my mustard trousers which are my second favourite jeans next to Topshop Leigh ones. You have to be careful buying jeans from H&M because some are terrible quality, these are from the Divided section and the stretch is great.

I've been on placement for three days now and I'm having so much fun! I'm working on The Party Show so all the costumes are fancy dress and it's such a great laugh. I'm a dresser so we each get assigned a model and have to memorize their wardrobes and get them changed as fast as possible. The quick changes are unreal!

This week has been a fun one. I visited a gallery in Birmingham with university on Tuesday which was quite interesting. I'm come to love visiting galleries, especially when I'm in London.

I instagramed a lot of food this week, especially after mine and Daniel's lunch date in Frankie and Bennys. It's so important for us to do these little dates every now and then, just to keep things fun, sometimes our busy schedules are just so draining, but we'll always make time for each other.

I started my work placement on Saturday but I'm saving those photos for a separate post. After Saturday's long day of dress rehearsal I got the train home and went to Mum and Dad's for a belated New Year party. My Mum was hit by that terrible flu that was going around so their New Year plans got cancelled so we celebrated more in sync with the Chinese New Year. I hope you've all had a lovely week, and have some lovely things lined up for this coming week.

I fell a little bit more in love with my nifty fifty lens Daniel got me after I photographed these photos. I've been putting off using it for a while but there's no going back now!

I love this top but you don't get the full effect of the detail on the back during winter. I have a serious pet hate for people that wear band tees but couldn't tell you a single song the band sung, Daniel laughs at me, but the Beatles are the only ones I own.

I start my work placement tomorrow. I'm so excited and hoping to create a little post next week filled with snaps and a little review. Obviously I can't walk around backstage with my DSLR out, so Instagram is going to have to suffice. Wish me luck!
