Ghouls come out to play

 jumper: G21 at Asda
jeans: H&M
jacket: eBay
boots: H&M
necklace: H&M
rings: Primark, eBay

I was thinking the other day about ways to incorporate my collection of coloured jeans into my winter wardrobe. Namely these yellow ones, and my flourescant pink ones, because they are just so typically summery. So the first thing I thought: put them with grey!

Quite frankly I'm chuffed with the outcome, I'm not one of those people that wear a lot of black, and you'll almost always find me in something with a pop of colour, so walking round in these jeans with my little boots all day felt fabulous! Add a few gold accessories, bright lips and a leather jacket and you're set.

My photoshoot today got cancelled, due to a poorly model, so instead I popped into town to run some errands before doing the weekly shop later. This living on my own makes me feel so grown up!

Full of arogance

 blouse: Primark
shorts: Motel Rocks @ Topshop
jacket: H&M
belt: H&M
boots: H&M
handbag: Primark
faux fur fox tail: eBay

The days are definitely getting chillier so my little mittens have come out to play, unfortunately they didn't make it into the photos for some reason, but I'll give them the spotlight soon. I haven't really got a lot to say about this outfit, most of the stuff is older things I own but the colours just look pretty together. I remember picking up the shorts in a sale about 2 years ago for £5, they've definitely earnt that back the amount of times I've worn them.

I've got a photoshoot tomorrow which I'm very excited about. I'll definitely share those photos possibly at some point next week. I'm focusing the shoot around a more whimsical theme involving masquerade masks, so it should be fun!

Month in photos: September

This is yet again something I'm just trying on for size. I thought I'd show you some snaps of my month. There's not a lot here for September, I had a bit of an uninspired month when it came to my blog and photography, but I'm back in the game in both aspects, especially since being back at university.

The first two images are my favourites from the wedding I photographed on the 1st September. I was so pleased to find yesterday that Sheila and Alan are extremely pleased with their photographs - cue huge sigh of relief!

The third image is obviously of a tape measure that had been lying around my room for ages. There's not particular meaning to it, I just wanted to see what shapes I could create with it. It's interesting though, looking back at the images how I don't like some of them just by how the tape measure is positioned.

Image number four is of my stack of Company magazine. I like to collect them as references sources and inspiration and I adore the fact that the spine on each month is different.

Again let me know what you think of this idea and I will definitely a wider range of photos for you next month.

A Vision of Ecstasy

 dress: Peacocks
cardigan: eBay
jacket: Primark
boots: H&M
bag: Turkey
rings: Primark, H&M

I tried selling this dress on eBay, but it didn't sell (thank god!) so I put it in my wardrobe. It's so simple to just throw on with some boots, and it's great because of the hemline it doesn't blow up in the wing - Bonus! Although my sister commented that it does look a bit like a potato sack.

How do we like my new backdrop? There isn't enough space to position my tripod and myself in my bedroom so I opted for the brick wall out the front. It was slightly daunting posing on my drive as people were walking past, but how much better do the photos looks with natural light?! Hope you like them.

What I bought: September

Striped dress: H&M
This has been instore for a while, but it caught my eye after I got my burgundy biker jacket as the colours look fabulous together.
Pastal coloured cups: Ikea
I found them whilst strolling round Ikea a few weeks ago and thought they'd be perfect for make-up brushes, especially as I intend on adding pink undertones to my new monochrome room.
Burgundy Dress: H&M
I bought this whilst in London a few weeks ago as a back up dress for a night out. I didn't end up wearing it and was going to return it, but it's so lovely and simple I changed my mind.
Two-tone boots: H&M
These have been my go-to shoes since they arrived. The low heel is so ideal to add a little bit of height for university.
Faux fur stole: H&M
I've wanted a fur stole since last year so I'm chuffed I've finally got one. It makes my leather jacket look like a completely new jacket.
 Salmon pink blazer: H&M
I actually wanted a cardigan in this colour, but since I couldn't find one anywhere. I settled for the blazer. I think blazers are a little more me than cardigans anyway.

I thought I'd try out a 'What I bought this month' feature, and I'm shocked, or not, to see that everything is from H&M. Embarrassing. But being around the same things every week just makes it so much more appealing. I've tried to feature as much as I could what I bought but couldn't remember everything (I just remembered some beautiful smelling shower gel and body lotion from the Avon). Maybe next month I'll write down what I bought. Let me know what you think of this idea!

Week #39

Pink glitter nails // Monday's outfit
 Self portrait // Autumn leaves
Slipper boots // Pizza - all to myself!
Empty wardrobes // An hour well spent in the library
Dad cooked me Spaghetti Bolagnase // Scrambled egg for breakfast
 My famous glass // Joshy
My new bedroom // Saturdays outfit
A copy to read and a copy to annotate for university // Chocolate cake and custard

I can only apolagise for my whereabouts, or lack of it. Moving out and not having internet is extremely inconvenient, especially as I've just started back at university aswell. I'm blogging this from Mum and Dad's, as I tried it on my phone but it wouldn't let me upload it.
I think it's the first time all year my Week on Instagram post hasn't actually been posted on a Sunday. So expect today's post later on today!
